Supreme Saga - a dirty family dispute

No less than a Bollywood movie, the 7 years long family business dispute doesn't seem to be ending. Started in 1983 by Late Jagdish Agarwal, Supreme Transport Organisation was revolutionized in 2002 by his brother Kamal Agarwal. Kamal took charge at 21 years of age in 1987 and is the brightest light in the Christmas tree. After two crisis in 2002 and 2006 the company was as good as it was in 1983, with no assets, no capital but now with a strong goodwill and experience. From 2002 the debt saga began with unsecured borrowings of 2 crores, which was 76+ crores in december 2015 when official disputes began. While Late Jagdish was following right principles of 'earn your own living' through this debt free family business, Kamal was contradictory and believed in pampering each and everyone in the family, irrespective of their interest in family business and indolent attitude, with considerable borrowings on high interest rates through his personal guarantees and strong goodwill.
Kamal ensured his 5 nephews', 6 nieces and his brother Anand with sister Sushila Nevatia were given houses, cars and remuneration worth crores of rupees in Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Mumbai, with no responsibilities or duties, but just because they were blood relations and out of sheer nepotism.
Ammeet Agarwal

Both his sons were off and on to Dallas, Texas, USA as commercial pilots and owned Supreme Aviation in USA, self made by Kamal's elder son Ammeet K Agarwal, now the Supreme scion. While Ammeet always disagreed to his father's theory of spoiling his cousins with free salaries and all luxuries, Ravi Agrawal, adopted son of Anand, designed an evil plot around this theory of Kamal, his closest uncle. Ravi after failing in various phases including sharetrading, acting, dancing, investments, etc. went ahead and claimed himself to be the next Kamal and lead of Supreme, since it was a set stage and no hardwork was required to grow. Ammeet constantly warned his father Kamal about Ravi and his cruel intentions, but Kamal gave a deaf ear and acted opposite by falsely encouraging and boasting about Ravi every opportunity he got. Their jodi was often referred as
'chacha-bhateeja' duo in transport industry and Agarwal clan across India. Vimal on the other hand followed his father Late Jagdish's footsteps and silently worked hard, obeying Kamal's directions to manage Supreme's premium client G.E. (General Electricals, USA). Ammeet time and again advised Kamal to give lead to Vimal as a deserving candidate amidst all 5 cousins, since Ammeet and brother Akash have no interest in family heritage, wealth, transport business and company.

Kamal through his skills and talent had a well established client base including American and European multi nationals, large integrated workshops and facilities at Panvel and Kalamboli, for his fleet of 1000+ trucks and trailers, hauling 25,000 containers and millions of tonnes of heavy cargo every year, from JNPT port to virtually all over India.
Ravi's only problem visible was inferiority complex being same age with Ammeet. This inferiority complex was developing since teen age and by 2015, when both were 28, it grew into a full fledged war which turned ugly for entire family of 30+ members, 100+ immediate relatives, 2000+ Supreme Staff and others. Ammeet was always successful since his school days in everything he took interest. Later as a qualified commercial pilot and a successful aviation entrepreneur, Ammeet held a strong charm, considerable recognition, high importance and great regards across the world, not only in his family and marwari society, but business houses, politicians and who's who of India, which Ravi was constantly jealous of.
Further Vimal's contribution to the company's growth added fuel to fire, as Ravi would now be counted with Anand, Satish, Arun, Girish, Deepak and Akash, the freeload members of the family versus Kamal, Vimal and Ammeet, the well known and actual faces of Supreme. Ravi illegitimately transferred shares of Late Jagdish after his demise in 2012, to strengthen his evil plot. Vimal and brother Girish, legal heirs of Late Jagdish objected to Kamal with this move of Ravi, but Kamal as usual, turned it down stating he has given free share holding of 12% each to Anand and his son Ravi, Satish and his brother Arun, Vimal and his brother Girish so that all 4 families feel equivalent status with no discrimination. Ammeet laughed at this theory and time and again, tried to convince his father, that this free money cannot buy status or I.Q., but will invite troubles for all sooner or later and is purely defined as nepotism.

In December 2015, Ravi with Anand, Satish and Arun as petitioners forming 48% group moved to NCLT (then CLB), claiming mismanagement and misappropriation in company by Kamal and his sons Ammeet and Akash along with Vimal and brother Girish (sons of Late Jagdish) having 52% shares.
It was looked as a battle of freeloads v/s the original founders and torch bearers of Supreme. There were more than 60 petitions, court cases, complaints, public interest litigations, RTI and reports filed with NCLT, Bombay high court, Dindoshi sessions court, Borivili court, Mumbai Police, Jaipur police, Bangalore police, Gujarat Police, Income Tax dept, sales tax, GST dept, Customs dept, D.G.C.A., Ministry of Civil Aviation, Airports Authority of India, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, Dept of Revenue Intelligence, Economic offence wing, Indian air force, all banks of India, state governments of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and others by Ravi and group, with only intentions to destroy Supreme Transport and personal lives of Kamal, Ammeet and Akash, Vimal and Girish.

With a never give up attitude and strong strategies in place, Ammeet bravely faced and fought each and every battle and obtained victories in all of them. Police FIRs went dirty with attempt to murder charges, recent rape charges especially against Ammeet in his group, simply to somehow have him behind bars so the group surrenders in exchange of Ammeet's freedom. Kamal and Vimal tried to settle with Ravi, but his demands were 80% and more of all assets and wealth, no liabilities and prime properties, leaving non recoverable debt on company with respondents group.
Ammeet clearly refused to even entertain such offers and chose to give them what they genuinely deserve. Ammeet came out clean in all cases and litigations and on the contrary, got Ravi and Anand kicked out of company's residences worth Rs. 20 crores which they were occupying illegally along with other illegitimate property transfers and funds siphoning they conducted. Ammeet got them out of the board and share holding, using NCLT and various courts, destroyed their parallel business activity and fraud transactions conducted under Supreme Frieghtway Carriers, with similar logo, stationary and branding as Supreme Transport.

Mediators from various parts of India and their close family members including Mukesh Chachan of Malchand Group in Ahmedabad, tried very hard to convince Ammeet for mercy, but the ice didn't melt at all. This resulted in Kamal melting and acting under Ravi's influence despite of 3.5 years of battle, which now created differences between Ammeet and his father Kamal. BJP national secretary Shyam Jaju tried to mediate from Ravi's side at one point, where Ammeet was heavy weighted by his Aviation partner Milind Mahajan, son of the then Speaker of LokSabha Sumitra Mahajan. Friends, family, cousins, staff, vendors and everything were now divided into two groups.

However, by pulling right strings at right time, Ammeet further destroyed Ravi's group by creating 3 individual groups within, further against each other, consisting of Satish and Arun in one group headed by Deepak as proprietor of 'Supreme Frieghtway', Nilesh and Parag Nevatia with their own company 'Gautam lifters', Ravi and Anand left with nothing but more enemies. The saga even after 'The End', went on with another sequel, because Ravi started penetrating deep by manipulating Pramod and JaiPrakash, 'man Friday' and 'henchman' of Kamal respectively, along with two of Kamal's trusted action makers in Supreme Transport, advising the father against his rape accused son, and his merciless battle which destroyed 'blood relations', as they feed to brainwash him. Ammeet despite of giving his father options, to choose his sons and Late Jagdish's family on one side, or Ravi and his evil manipulators on the other side, Kamal has been caught three times playing hide and seek between both groups with intentions unknown.

After another 2 years of unnecessary tension amidst the victorious group (February 2019 onwards) Ammeet decided to bail out Supreme Transport in April 2021, with a total package of more than Rs. 30 Crores and additional monthly remuneration to Kamal, Vimal, Girish and divorced sister of Vimal and Girish. Ammeet was very clear and conveyed the same to all, that the borrowings of Rs. 76+ crores were all under wrong influence, used for wrong benefits of the wrong people with evil plots. He analyzed the accounts and did enlighten others, that out of Rs. 250 Crores tax paid net earnings by the company, more than 100 Crores is spent on interest, approximately another 100 Crores siphoned off by family members, with balance only of Rs. 50 crores in company's properties and business. Borrowings of Rs. 76 crores were not only amusing, but equally devastating. Why would any company or family, earning in excess of Rs. 250 CR in 15 years, continue to have borrowings in excess of Rs. 76 crores, and not clear it off? Since Ammeet bailed out the last balance of Rs. 30 crores of these Rs. 76 crores of borrowings, he did secure himself with collateral properties of the company valuing to Rs. 30 Crore. The only family members who fulfilled their duties towards the family and company, were clearly Kamal and later his son Ammeet. It was clear, that others did nothing but siphoned off monies, had fun with it, all over the world!

Ammeet further paid Rs. 10 Lakhs to Kamal & brother Akash per month combined, Rs. 2 Lakhs to Vimal, Rs. 2 Lakhs to Girish and Rs. 1 Lakh to Pinky, from March 2021 onwards, to relieve them of monthly expense concerns. Further 50% of the net earnings from transport business activity, would be remunerated to whoever brings in the business - Kamal, Vimal or Girish. Such system in place was appreciated by everyone, including relatives, associates and advisors of the Supreme family. Such system intended to encourage more and more earnings, through and to members themselves, relieve them of monthly cash flow concerns, and had such system been in place since 2003, there wouldn't have been any dispute in 2015. Everyone would have lived and designed a lifestyle around their true potential, talent and earnings.

Now Vimal's wife had to play the black sheep. Trouble in paradise! There's an American saying, "you can take someone out of the streets, but you cannot take the streets out of them!" Instead of encouraging her husband Vimal and his brother Girish, to generate and increase business and earnings, her focus now was to siphon off as much monies as she can - begging, borrowing or stealing. Ammeet constantly felt Vimal and his wife's insecurity, for 16 months after this arrangement. It was during the long trip to USA, where all 15 members spent considerable time together, it was clear that the black sheep and her sister, also married to Vimal's brother Girish, care only for money and wealth, nothing else. The way Vimal and Girish's family treated Kamal & his wife, Ammeet, Akash & his wife for 2 months, it was obvious that Ammeet would not let them take any more advantage of his monies. The way they treated Ammeet's hard earned money, Ammeet realized it was his big mistake to give so much monies to these people, who were under influence of the black sheep. Black sheep not only influenced her husband, sister and her husband, but her kids and Girish's kids were under tremendous wrong influence of hers. Ammeet finally gave up. He protected the company earlier from Ravi, Anand, Satish and Arun. He later protected company's assets from these frauds and their associates.
He protected Kamal, Vimal, Girish and entire family from losing their own residences, seats and positions in company. Ammeet destroyed these cousins and kicked them out of offices, residences, company and their own businesses too. Ammeet later bailed out his family and Supreme Transport by paying in excess of Rs. 30 crores from his Aviation earnings. He gave them monthly remuneration, encouraged them to generate business and earn themselves. Unfortunately, neither Vimal nor Girish exhibit any interest or any earnings between 2018 and till present day, accompanied with the black sheep stooping as low as she can, showcasing cheap traits, with no vision or realization of consequences and repercussions. The only concern now, is future of blood relative Vimal, Girish and their 4 children, since influence of black sheep and her sister, also her side of family, is lower than middle class and very inferior, compared to what they enjoyed under Kamal and later Ammeet's reign.

Supreme Transport Org Pvt Ltd between 2002-03 and 2018, transacted Rs. 1100+ Crores in revenues, primarily from G.E., G.M.I, Mercedes Benz and other multi nationals, operated 75+ offices across India with a fleet of more than 1000 trucks & trailers employing 2000+ staff, paid over Rs. 100+ crores in interest on borrowings, and considerable taxes and salaries, was a victim of a dirty family dispute which simply arose from inferiority complex of one adopted child in the family - Ravi Agrawal. Later on two sisters Nupur & Samixa, from inferior family, married to high class family exhibited their cheap traits and got their husbands', kids and families in trouble, causing collateral damage to the company as well.

Supreme Aviation conglomerate between 2007 and 2022, transacted Rs. 200+ Crores in revenues from Airport infrastructure and upgrade across 35 airport sites all over the world, commuter airline in India, flight training school in USA and other diversified aviation activities, a one man show by Captain Ammeet K Agarwal.

A story which may be very common amidst all Indian families and business houses, do not usually have such diversified fates.
